Autumn Table

The inspiration for this week's table came from the pumpkin plates we found on the sale rack at Pier 1 some time ago. (We love a sale....)

Pat didn't want the pumpkin napkins to "compete" with the place settings so she laid them across the back of each chair

Here's the inspiration plate - from Pier 1's sale rack last year

The luncheon plate is actually ivory colored - it's Fiesta(ware) by Homer Laughlin

Pat's husband spray painted inexpensive lacquer chargers brown to use on the table

The covered soup bowl was from Pier 1 four years ago - it has a much simpler pattern than the ones they sell now

We probably use these Dollar Tree glasses more than any other glassware that we own

From the other end of the table
Where it came from:
Pumpkin-Colored Plate Mat - from Bed, Bath, and Beyond years ago
Charger - Inexpensive lacquer chargers found on after-season sale at Michael's and spray painted brown
Sage Colored Dinner Plates - inexpensive Earthenware from our local supermarket
Luncheon Plate and Bread/Butter Plate - "Ivory" Fiesta(ware) by Homer Laughlin from Replacements.com
Pumpkin Accent Plate - from Pier 1 after season last year
Glassware - from the Dollar Tree several years ago (but still available)
Pumpkin Soup Bowl with Lid - also from Pier 1 but four years ago
Flatware - "Rustic Twig" from Black Forest Décor (mail order)
Centerpiece - all from Michael's

We will be joining the following Blog parties this week:
"Dishing It! & Digging It!" at Rustic & Refined this Sunday:  http://www.rustic-refined.com/ "Tablescape Thursday" at Between Naps on the Porch:  http://betweennapsontheporch.net/

  1. Man...I wish MY sister was into tablescaping!!! You guys get together and come up with some really cool stuff! Two heads are always better than one...unless one of the heads belongs to my sister who would rather be out in a cornfield somewhere doing Lord-only-knows-what! Sigh! The table is, as always, put together with love and attention to detail. I love the flatware!!!!!!!!! Have a very happy week!

  2. Beautiful, Ladies! I love those pumpkin plates from Pier One, and your centerpiece looks just like a mini-pumpkin field on a table, all just tumbling together! Perfect! Happy Autumn! (I hope you're not close to Santa Rosa or Napa; it looks like a heart-breaking situation there). Take care,

    1. Thank you, Rosie for the lovely comment. Pat and I are both lucky to live in Humboldt County which is just north of where the large fires are burning. We have small ones (and some pretty devastating ones) but nothing like our neighbors. Please keep them in your prayers.
