Lenox Versailles Tablescape

Lenox Versailles (1977-1992) has been described as "opulent" and "extravagant" by some people, but to me, I think it is just gorgeous. I love it. Since it mixes well with many colors, it can be used in so many different ways and never gets boring.

The place setting....yes, slightly "over the top" gaudy, I know, but it's just perfect to me.

Flatware is "Antique Baroque" gold by Wallace Silversmith

There are so many colors to pull from....you can see why the pattern never gets boring.

One of Pat's favorite tricks....the first of two chargers - the "Periwinkle" Fiesta(ware) Chop plate adds color

Pat found these antique gold chargers (along with similar ones in silver) on sale at Tuesday Morning last year.

Another bargain of the century.....found on the sale, sale, sale shelf at Pier 1 last week

From the other end of the table
Where it came from:
Antique Gold Chargers - from Tuesday Morning last year (but available at Pier 1 now)
Blue Charger - "Periwinkle" Fiesta(ware) chop plate by Homer Laughlin from Replacements
Dinnerware - "Versailles" by Lenox from eBay and Replacements
Flatware - "Antique Baroque" by Wallace Silversmiths from Horchow's
Blue Napkin - from Gottschalk's (a local Department store now out of business)
Napkin Rings - from Pier 1 two years ago
Glassware - from Pier 1 last week (found on the sale, sale, sale shelf)
Candle Holders - from Pat's depression glass collection
Gold candles - from Michael's
Gold Leaf Avocados - from Pier 1 last year

  2. I do not think your table is over the top or too ornate. The Lenox pattern is beautiful and you have certainly mix it very well. I love the blue accent plate ad flatware especially.

Enjoy your gorgeous dinnerware. It is meant to be used and do not worry about what other people think. It is about what makes you happy.

  3. Very pretty tablescaper with the blue. I have always admired the Lenox china, even though I do not own any.

  4. Not at all over the top and if it was, so what! If you have it flaunt it, speaking of dishes of course. I love the china and that choice of the blue really brought out the blue in the pattern. Beautiful.

  5. What gorgeous china! Nothing wrong with opulent or extravagant to my way of thinking - and this china is not too much of either, it's just beautiful! I love the blue chargers and napkins with it, and all the gold touches. A lovely table.
