Royal Albert Brigadoon

Finally!!! The day is here. Pat has been growing thistle (the "domesticated" kind without thorns) this season specifically for use with today's table. She called yesterday to say the plant was in bloom and ready to cut. So, this morning she arrived with fresh flowers and greenery and set the table using one of her favorite patterns - "Brigadoon" by Royal Albert.

The china features blue and soft lavender thistles

Flatware is "Cameo Gold" by Mikasa.. It is a glossy stainless steel with a gold "rope" around the edges.

The crystal is "Fedora" by Spiegelau

 Where it came from:
Metallic Purple Lacquer Chargers - from Michael's several years ago
Dinnerware - "Brigadoon" by Royal Albert from eBay and China Finders,
Glassware -  "Fedora" by Spielelau Crystal from Replacements
Flatware - "Cameo Gold" by Mikasa from Horchow's
Various Tapers - from the Ferndale Emporium (a local gift and kitchen wares boutique)
Lavender Napkins - Handmade by Pat
Chiffon Napkin Overlays - a gift from Pat
Vase and Candle Holders - from Pat's collection

  3. This is really lovely - a new-to-me Royal Albert pattern, brought together with so many beautiful elements. Love the gold-edged flatware... the soft lavender hues... the crystal stemware... it's breath-taking!
