Vintage Pink Table

No more bunnies! They've been put away for a year.....This week's table is a definite departure from last week. Pat decided to "dress it up a bit" using vintage and good will items from around my house.
The table

Dinnerware pattern is La Rose by Mikasa. Pat's daughter found it on sale at the Good Will store in her hometown.

"April" silverplate flatware by International Silver

Pat and I found these delicate napkin rings at an antique store years ago

Glassware is assorted Depression glass

This massive glass bowl is over 14" wide and nearly 8" tall - it weighs a ton. I just had to have it after finding it at an antique faire in Fortuna one year. Of course, Pat made me park the car at the other end of town so that we could get a bit of exercise in by walking around town and, naturally, we had already hit the big Library book ("Bag of books - $1.00) sale. So, I trudged and dragged myself with three gigantic bags loaded with books and this bowl for nearly a mile......... I never forgave Pat for the exercise.

Pat took assorted Depressionware creamers and sugar bowls and used them as small vases. This pattern is "Tea Room" (1926-1931) by the Indiana Glass Company

From the other end of the table

Where it came from:
Soft Pink Charger - "Rose" Color Spectrum by Mikasa from eBay
Dinnerware - "La Rose (1987-1998)" by Mikasa from Pat's daughter (who found it at Good Will in Redding, CA)
Glassware - assorted Depressionware from our collection
Flatware - "April" (Disc. 1950) by International Silver from Pat's collection
Chiffon Napkin Overlay - gift from Pat
Soft Pink Napkins - Handmade by Pat
Napkin Rings - from a local antique faire several years ago
Centerpiece Bowl - from Art & Old Things Antiques (our favorite local antique store)
Candle Holders and "Vases" - from our collection

We will be joining Susan for "Tablescape Thursday" at Between Naps on the Porch: http://betweennapsontheporch.net/

  1. Well, I miss the bunnies, but the pale pink table is just beautiful. I rarely use pink, but cherry blossom season is fast approaching, and that is the only time of year that I even consider using this color on my table. I'm sure Pat just had your best interests in mind when she made you lug all of your finds around for a mile. What better way to build up those arm and leg muscles, after all? LOL! Have a happy Easter!
