Vintage Spode Autumn Tablescape

Pat had help with this week's tablescape. Our great-niece was here from Washington D.C. and had stopped by to see how we were all doing. Naturally, being a dishaholic like many of the family, she couldn't resist "picking up plates to play with."

Pat created the centerpiece using an assortment of amber glass and wooden pumpkins
Being unafraid and unencumbered by tradition of mixing patterns, styles and colors, our great-niece blended vintage Spode "Buttercup" with inexpensive Spice Route "Ginger" from Pier 1 and everyday  Homer Laughlin's "Chocolate" Fiesta(ware) bread and butter plate.

Fun Family Puppies and Spiders Halloween Tablescape

Admittedly, I am on the "I'd rather just skip" it side of celebrating Halloween, this week's tablescape does make me smile. Pat chose one of her favorite Pier 1 "Park Avenue Puppies" accent plates and set the table around that them.

We found the interesting black flatware - "Kaya Black" by Jankng - on eBay
Pat mixed "Lapis" and "Paprika" Fiesta(ware) with the Pier 1 "Park Avenue Puppies" accent plate

Simple, blue goblets from the Dollar Tree add more color

Hand-made napkins in blue and rust are held together by a "doggy collar" napkin ring

Pat found bone-shaped crackers - then decorated the bowls with plastic spiders to continue the theme

Where it came from:
Cobweb Place Mats - from Target years ago
Accent Plates - "Park Avenue Puppies Halloween" from Pier 1 seven years ago
Other Dinnerware - "Lapis" and "Paprika" Fiesta(ware) by Homer Laughlin from Macy's, Kohl's, and Replacements,Ltd.

Blue Glassware - from the Dollar Tree

Autumn Family Dinner Tablescape

This week's tablescape features a family-friendly setting using Mikasa's "Kabuki" produced from 1978 thru 1985. Pat paired it with last week's glassware and rust colored accents pulled from the colors on the plates.

Not a pumpkin in sight compared to last week's bold centerpiece.

Flatware is "Wind Song" by Oneida

Pat was going to use amber-colored glasses but switched as she was setting the table saying she liked the look of the green goblets better.

Where it came from:
Rust colored Place Mats and matching Napkins - from Pier 1 several years ago
Dinnerware - "Kabuki" by Mikasa from the Discovery Shop (the Cancer Society's thrift shop) many years ago
Glassware - from the Dollar Tree (sill available)
Flatware - "Wind Song" silverplate by Oneida from eBay
Wooden Candle Holders - from Michael's several years ago
Burnt Orange Candles - from Ross
