Pink and Pearl Formal Christmas Tablescape

Pat set this week's table using a color that is not often associated with Christmas - pale pink - and accented it with pearls. The inspiration for the table was our Karen Didion "Rose" Santa with his fur and pearl trimmed pink coat. Dinnerware is Mikasa "La Rose" and  Mikasa Rose "Color Spectrum" chargers.

"La Rose" fine china has delicate pink roses on a gray, pink, and gold band around the plate. These were a gift from Pat's daughter several years ago.

The flatware is "Plantation" by Oneida - from our Mother years ago
Every time we use these goblets, I think of our great-niece. They are one of her favorites.
Pearl napkin rings are from Pier 1 years ago

The detail on Santa is incredible

Lots of Presents Christmas Tablescape

This week's Christmas tablescape features Pier 1's "Winter Wonders" dinnerplate in a simple fun setting with lots of Christmas presents as the centerpiece attraction.

Flatware is Kate Spade's "All in Good Taste."

We found these fun place mats at Tuesday Morning years ago
The Santa face napkin rings are part of our Mother's collection - she had the "tablescape/dish disease" long before us and taught us well.

Thank goodness for Aleene's Boxmaker craft tool that I bought years ago.......all you need is card stock and lots of time on your hands.

Winter Woodland Tablescape

Pat's Christmas theme this week is "Woodland" and what could be better than using her set of "Winter Cabin" by St, Nicolas Square with its embossed deer and pinecones? It is extremely heavy and not very practical earthenware to use everyday, but it looks great set on a Christmas table.

Neat to look at but hard to use and wash up, the extremely heavy square dishes chip easily too.

Now, the glassware is another story - forty years old and used for everyday for years, surviving countless earthquakes and family meals, "Clarion" glasses are a long lasting "miracle."
Pat used wooden-like Santa ornaments for napkin rings

Where it came from:
Twig Place Mats - from Pier 1 years ago
Dinnerware - "Wood Cabin" by St. Nicolas Square from Kohl's ten or eleven years ago
Flatware - "Woodland" stainless by Cambridge from Tuesday Morning years ago
Glassware - Brown "Clarion" by Lenox from a local wedding and dinnerware shop forty years ago
Napkins - from Pier 1 six or seven years ago

Royal Doulton Baronet Christmas Tablescape

This week's table is suitable not only for Christmas but, by changing the centerpiece, for a more formal dinner anytime of the year. Pat used one of her favorite patterns - Royal Doulton's "Baronet" - for the dinnerware and paired it with Artland's "Midnight Red" glassware and San Remo "Rouge" stainless flatware by Hampton Silversmiths.

The deep red handles of  the "San Remo Rouge" flatware perfectly match the Carmine red charger
Pat used a simple rolled black napkin held by a chunky gold napkin ring from Pier 1

Pat chose a Santa with a deep red and gold costume to coordinate with the table color theme
