Country Breakfast Tablescape

Something fun this week! Our great-niece was here this weekend and she helped Pat put this week's blog tablescape together. With our Sakura "On the Farm" salad plates as inspiration, they paired Bordallo Pinheiro "Cabbage" chargers with Home Trends "Farm Fresh" dinner plates coming up with an enjoyable country Breakfast tablescape.

There are four different roosters in the set of "On The Farm" salad plates
The "Farm Fresh" dinner plate is versatile and so much fun to play with
I'm a sucker for anything Bordallo "Cabbage" - only thing is I find it chips easily

Frosty Springtime Tablescape

When Pat arrived to set the table this morning, she was lamenting about waking up to another day of frost. It seems that we're stuck in a Springtime cold spell for a while but it makes for an easy tablescaping idea. One of Lenox's more striking dish patterns is "Blue Frost." Our niece was here again and she and Pat both jumped at the chance to use this very attractive dinnerware on the table.

Two napkins were used - an ice blue satin with a silvery sheer overlay

Tax Time Tablescape

As we scramble to file our taxes before April 18th, it occurred to us that it would be a great tablescaping theme (yeah, I know....weird but different.) Pat pulled out the old place mats that she made and the money bags she bought when she gave a party/dinner for me after my retirement (Pat's theme for that party?? but of course is would be  "Living Off the Public Dole From Now On") and came up with the table for this week.
Our great-niece came up with the color combination of "Apricot" and "Periwinkle" Fiesta(ware). We are going to miss her. She graduates next month from Cal Poly Humboldt and is moving to Boston to continue her education

Pat bought the flatware this week at Costco - "Pinch" by Mikasa

Glasses are "Picardy" from Pier 1 several years ago

Authentic money bags act as the centerpiece
The place mats are made from old 1040's ripped and decoupaged onto heavy craft paper

Easter is Finally Here Tablescape

Easter has finally arrived! We're having Brunch at Pat's house this year (everyone agrees that she's the best cook in the entire family so we heartily accept any invitation for a meal.) Before she gets her house decorated, the table set, and the food prepped, she showed up at my house and helped set this week's table for the blog.
Once again, Pat turned to Fiesta(ware) to add color to the table. This time she mixed "Meadow" and "Sunflower."

Accent plates are "Hop Town Bunnies" from Pier 1
Flatware is "Primary" from Noritake

Simple and large glassware - from the Dollar Tree
Table centerpiece is composed of assorted sisal bunnies and a single garland
