Winter Table

Pat switched course this week and set an early Winter table (even though today we had a record breaking high temperature for this time of year - over 75 degrees. Normally, even in Summer, here on the north coast of California, we rarely get above 65-70 degrees......)

We couldn't pass these plates up at Pier 1 this season.

Pat used a black Fiesta(ware) chop plate as a second charger to add more interest

We found these glass chargers on the sale shelf at Pier 1 last year. Pat layered the napkin underneath since she did not want to distract from the place setting.

Another bargain from Pier 1, we have these silver trimmed goblets in a gold trim also.

Thanksgiving Table

Recently, Pat gave a talk to her Garden Club about choosing a dinnerware pattern that is versatile, inexpensive, and easy to use. She chose Johnson Brothers "Autumn Monarch" for the demonstration. Using the same pattern, she easily came up with four different looks. This week's table uses one of them.
Yes, that's my Christmas tree in the background. I confess - I love Christmas and always decorate early.

Flatware is "Musee" by Reed & Barton

Pat layered a Claret "Fiesta(ware)" luncheon plate to add more color

Autumn Blues and Beige Tablescape

This week's table uses the season's "hottest" color combination - blue and beige. Pat started with plates that we found at Pier 1 early this Summer (in all honesty, she really doesn't care for them but I love the color combination.) Then we found beige and various shades of blue pumpkins to accent the tablescape.

Pat found these gorgeous diamond cut goblets at Ross several years ago (naturally called "Lady Diamond")

Pat made red, white and blue paisley napkins specifically for this Lady Veteran's Table
