Southwestern Tablescape

Pat wanted a change from the usual "flowers in the center" table that we normally do. So, she came up with a very different tablescape this week.
Pat started with a burlap tablecloth to add texture

The luncheon and bread/butter plates are "Ivory" Fiesta(ware) by Homer Laughlin

For more texture, Pat used denim-covered chargers and matching napkins

Summertime Tablescape

Since Pat had a very busy week and even busier weekend, she decided to "take the easy way out" with this week's table. (Not that Pat does anything the easy way,) to quote her, she just "put it together" with an old Fitz & Floyd accent plate that we own as the inspiration.

Another one of Pat's "go to" plates is this inexpensive dinner plate from Pier 1 - Cinnamon "Martillo"

Every serious tablescaper has a set of these sage green glasses in his/her cupboard - from the Dollar Store. Besides being inexpensive, they are so versatile.

We found these flower pot napkin rings for fifty cents each at Bed, Bath, and Beyond last year

Noritake Stanford Court and Lorelei

Legend has it that a mythical siren named Lorelei lives among the rocks and lures sailors to their death by her voice. Not quite an appetizing topic, but it makes a great center and conversation piece.

Years ago, Pat bought a "Lorelei" figurine because she always loved the legend. Here's the table this week that she set using it:

Pat used a Lenox "Mansfield" charger to add more interest

Another interesting piece - a cigarette holder

These antique brass lanterns are authentic - from Pat's husband
