Fall Blue Tablescape

This week's table is a combination of trying a different Autumn color and a bit of nostalgia. We wanted to do a Fall tablescape using blue as the primary color - it's unconventional (which appeals to Pat) and it is something new for us to try (which appeals to me.) And the best part - although many tablescapers are creating tables using wooden toolboxes lately, we are using our Dad's nearly 70 year old toolbox as the basis for the centerpiece. Neat.
The table - Pat started with a burlap runner

The toolbox is replete is lots of original paint splatters - I love it.

The place setting - Pat used Autumn rust to accent the blue.

Flatware is Spode "Image."

Pat wrapped a white napkin around a matching rust charger

Glassware is a combination of a blue Pier 1 water goblet and blue Artland wine glass

The toolbox is filled with blue and rust colored silk hydrangea accented with beige flowers and tapers

Persimmon Orange Halloween Tablescape

Pat decided to do one more traditional Halloween tablescape and wanted to use orange as the primary color. Instead of the familiar bright pumpkin orange, she chose a slight variation - persimmon orange - to set the table this week.
Over view of the table

The place setting - Pat used textured "Wicker" by Oneida and "Persimmon" Fiesta dinnerware

Flatware is "Classic Bead" stainless steel by Reed & Barton

The placemats have a soft, slightly velvety feel

Every tablescaper's "work horse" glasses - from the Dollar Store

Pat took a large ceramic pumpkin soup tureen that we bought years ago and turned it into a candy bowl. (I promise - the glasses are squeaky clean, Pat. The only time the sun barely shined was when I took pictures. Otherwise, it has been raining ---- which is great for the drought, but not much help for my crummy photograph skills.)

Coordinating pumpkin soup bowls without the lids were placed around the table holding additional candy

Have you ever noticed? Pictures of candy that someone "chubby" like me takes are always in focus - you can read every word on the label. It must be a skill of some kind.......

Bone Pickin' Halloween Tablescape

Well - all I can say about this week's tablescape is that it's different from what we usually post. Pat was in rare form as she put this one together - perhaps I should blame her daughter who is over this weekend. She and Pat always participate in Sunday's annual Humboldt Redwoods Marathon together.

Anyway, Pat worked on this table and Jennifer put our other blog's table together.
The table - just black and white and a bit creepy

The place setting - the classic Halloween "skeleton" hand holds a napkin draped across the plate

Flatware is "San Remo" Black

The "Napkin Ring"

Pat used a simple but elegant coupe charger

Glassware is "Jet Black" by Reizart

In addition to napkin rings, Pat used the skeleton hands for Votive holders

The centerpiece uses three candle holders - Pat just turned one that was taller over to hold the crow

Close up of the crow "snacking......."
